Matt Goes to Sea - Introduction

Ship_Picture.jpg

If you're not familiar with my plans for the Fall semester of 2008, I will be studying abroad with Semester at Sea. While "at sea" I will be provided only a handful of free satellite internet minutes and any additional minutes will be very costly. With this in mind, I realized that I'd be out of internet contact from friends and family who may be interested in how I might be doing out there in the South Pacific. This blog was the product of my brainstorming.

I plan on updating the blog when I arrive at ports and can get to internet cafes or find WiFi hotspots so that I can preserve my on-boat minutes. So here is where you'll read how I'm doing, what I'm doing and what foods I regret eating. I'll post when I get into port with a little summary from the last port and with pictures (if I feel like it).

I hope you enjoy keeping up with where I am and maybe because of this, people will remember me when I come home on December 14th after 3 months of minimal contact with the States.

Below you'll find a map of the ports that we will be stopping at as well as our itinerary.
